Proper fabric care is key for long-lasting garment life so we put together a small Fabric Care Guide for you for each fabric we have used.

THE GENERAL RULE OF THUMB

  • Don't mix bright colours, blacks and whites in one wash
  • When in doubt - use a cold gentle or delicate machine cycle or hand wash
  • Use gentle detergent
  • Use lower spin settings
  • When washing bright colours, especially for the first time, do a test first or use a colour run prevention sheets (or colour catchers sheets)
  • Wash your garments inside out to prevent pilling or use our wonderful Laundry Bags that double up as storage and travel bags

  • Wash inside out
  • Avoid using a fabric softener
  • Air-dry flat and in shade
  • Use a cool iron
  • Store in a hanger to avoid creasing

lace

Always check your lace before washing - the more delicate your piece is, the more delicately you should treat it:

  • The most delicate way of washing lace is a hand wash in cool water and a mild detergent for delicates, then rinse well and gently squeeze
  • Or use a delicate cold machine cycle, wash in a laundry bag (or mesh lingerie bag) and use a lower spin setting
  • Use special detergent for delicate fabrics
  • Air-dry in a shade flat to avoid stretching and tears
  • Avoid ironing, if possible
